Privacy policy

Barakhadi is run by Barakhadi LLC, a company registered in Virginia, USA ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through www.barakhadi.com and the Barakhadi learning activities, how we use it, and the choices you have. Because Barakhadi is used by children, we take particular care with their information.

Information we collect

When you contact us

If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write in your message.

When you subscribe

To set up a student account we need the parent's or teacher's name and email address, and the student's name. Student accounts are hosted on our learning platform, TalentLMS, which records the student's login, which activities they have completed, their scores and any assignments they submit.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store full card numbers. We keep a record of what was purchased and when.

Automatically collected information

• Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
• We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or track you across other websites.
• The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending the message.
• Videos are hosted by Wistia and only load when you press play.
• Free trial activities and student accounts run on TalentLMS, which uses cookies needed to keep you logged in.

This website does not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or rent anyone's information.

How we use information

• To create and manage student accounts and give access to the activities
• To answer your questions and send information you asked for
• To manage subscriptions and school packages
• To keep the website and learning platform secure and working well

Children's privacy

Barakhadi is designed for children, and we follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Student accounts are created by a parent, or by a teacher or school acting with the parent's consent. We collect only what is needed to run the activities: the student's name, login and learning progress. We do not show ads to students and do not use their information for marketing.

The contact form on this website is meant for parents, teachers and adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Parents can ask to review the information we hold about their child, correct it, or have it deleted, at any time, by emailing info@barakhadi.com.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Barakhadi, and only as needed for that purpose:

• TalentLMS (Epignosis), which hosts student accounts and activities
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website
• Resend, which delivers emails sent from our contact form
• Wistia, which hosts our videos
• Stripe, which processes payments

We may also disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep information

We keep student accounts while a subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so that returning students keep their progress. You can ask us to delete an account sooner. We keep contact messages only as long as needed to answer them and follow up.

Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to accounts to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or stop receiving emails from us. Depending on where you live (for example the UK or the EU), you may have additional rights. Email info@barakhadi.com and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will let subscribers know by email.
